Aunt Carol, was it you that was recommending this book? I had a friend just tell me about it. Who's the author? Maybe I'll recommend it for our book club. We meet tomorrow night.
Carol and I both read this book. It is very good. It's about domestic help in Jackson, Mississippi in the early 60's told in first person from two black and one white ladies. I would rate it 8 out of 10. Interesting subject, well written (though not pulitzer material), and pretty clean (you'll find a few swear words in it)
This is a picture of Grandpa reading a book to my kids (Jaden pictured). It is a priceless picture to me because it shows Grandpa trying to count the fish in the story. Notice his finger... He was trying to count with it. I LOVED his sense of humor!

Kathryn Stockett is the author.
Thanks! I think I'm going to look into that one.
